Girls fly high at camp
By HoneyDew
TWO girls took off into the sky yesterday at Camp Somerset, after tying air-filled
grain sacks to their canoe.
Their canoe clocked speeds of up to 15km per hour.
The air lifted them up and they hovered, with the paddles shifting their weight to propel them forward.
“I just could not believe my eyes!” said Mr G. Lakesong, who witnessed the event.
The girls travelled quickly, an estimated two kilometres in only five minutes.
The International Transport Association (ITA) is using the new-found knowledge to build more earth-friendly transportation methods.
“Pretty soon, you could be driving around in an earth-friendly flying machine with no fuel, only grain sacks!” said a representative of the ITA.
